Things to See and Do in Prague
OK, so this is hardly impartial. When it says 'things to see and do', it's more like 'things we saw and did'. But it can at least give you some ideas. Here are a few shortcuts to the things we did and saw in Prague that you might also like to try:
- Take a walk across Charles Bridge, climb the nearby tower to get an excellent view of Charles Bridge and the Castle in the background, relax in the tranquil Wallenstein Gardens, visit the Castle and St Vitus Cathedral at the top of the hill
- Visit Wenceslas Square where you will find the National Museum and a lively square, take a tram up to Loretto Church
- Explore the ruins of Vysehrad Castle, admire the beautiful Prazske Jezulatko Church, take a relaxing boat trip on the River Vltava, amble over to the Old Town Square, relax in one of the outdoor cafés in amongst the Church of Our Lady Before Tyn and the Town Hall, watch the dancing toy marionettes perfom hourly on either side of the Astronomical Clock, take a worthwhile climb up the Town Hall for a superb view of the Old Town Square, admire the architecture of the Powder Tower and the Golden Municipal Building, take a stroll over to the design-award-winning building: The Dancing Lady, mosey along the banks of the River Vltava to admire the night-time views of this lovely city
- Take a cable car ride up to Petrin Viewing Tower to see the panoramic views of this city of spires, pick up some souvenirs from the market stalls at the bottom of Wenceslas Square, watch the world go by in one of the coffee shops around the square
